Our pack is built on the belief that every Scout deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, explore, and belong.
We welcome families from many backgrounds, experiences, and traditions, and we are committed to creating an environment where every Scout is treated with kindness, dignity, and respect. We believe our community is strongest when people feel accepted for who they are and valued for what they contribute.
Scouting is a team effort. We encourage Scouts to support one another, celebrate each other’s successes, and help others when challenges arise. We also believe that a thriving pack is built by families working together. No one is expected to do everything, but everyone is invited to contribute in ways that fit their skills, interests, and availability.
We strive to create a culture where new families feel welcome, questions are encouraged, differences are respected, and every person has the opportunity to participate fully in the life of the pack.
Together, we learn, serve, lead, and grow, and we have a lot of fun along the way.

What Makes Our Pack Different
As an American Cub Scout pack in Berlin, we bring together families from many paths and experiences. Some families are here for a few years, others for much longer, but all are looking for connection, friendship, and opportunities for their children.
Scouting gives us a place to build those connections. Through shared adventures, service, and family participation, we create a community where newcomers are welcomed, friendships grow, and everyone has a chance to contribute.
Leadership and Volunteers
Our pack is built by families, for families.
Some of our leaders grew up in Scouting. Others first learned about Cub Scouts when their own child joined. Some are experienced campers and outdoor enthusiasts. Others bring talents in teaching, organizing, communications, crafts, technology, or simply a willingness to help.
You do not need Scouting experience to help. You do not need camping expertise, knot-tying skills, or years of outdoor knowledge. If you care about helping young people grow and thrive, there is a place for you here.
How Our Pack Is Organized
Cub Scouts is designed to be family-centered and volunteer-led.
- Den Leaders work directly with small groups of Scouts of the same grade level.
- Assistant Den Leaders support den leaders and help activities run smoothly.
- Pack Leadership coordinates the overall Cub Scout experience and supports dens.
- Pack Committee handles finances, advancement records, event planning, communications, recruiting, and logistics.
- Parents and Family Volunteers help with campouts, activities, service projects, special events, fundraising, transportation, and other pack needs.
Every role matters. The more families who contribute, the more opportunities we can provide for our Scouts.
